We've created a great web based team building system called team building rescue. It's real time, delivered over the web and great for teams of up to 10 people. Just Google team building rescue to find it ;)

3. Clear communications between each helps. Having regular 1:1 meetings between each team members helps.4. Gossips should be avoided at all cost. What we talk about a person in behind their back, we should be able to talk in front of them. That's talking with integrity, honesty. 5. Able to listen with empathy, understanding real cause behind their ill feelings, insecurity helps a lot. Most of the principle behind 'how to win friends & influence people' can be extended to team building.

My current team at work is the best team i have been part of. I am partly leading by officially not. Lessons I learnt: 1. Everybody needs recognition & praise from everybody ... not just from their managers & in front of their managers but everybody. Praising them genuinely for genuine reasons not only brings the motivation but also builds up the team morale & culture. 2. Everybody has a different goal. As a leader, one needs to be creative & align the common goal/vision with everybody's. |
