Guys a few reasons here.The wet tires were used because people had them as spares. And were from a race ago. Also if they went full trottle they would be black flagged because in 2007 the GP was limited to 80 km.

You have to be agressive. Like, there is a boundry and you have to be safe. Like, going off the track trying to pass someone but, don't hold back in practice.
