As I recall, there's a menu which lets you choose the type of grid you want before it becomes an option in Live View. It will be in the manual though - are you looking at the more detailed PDF version on the supplied CD?

I've just bought the camera, but there's no way I can get the grid on the screen (as shown in this video @ 4:05) Could it be the firmware? I use the latest one - 1.3 for body & 1.3 for the lens (14-42mm, the stock lens)There's nothing in the manual on this either?!

I have an Olympus E-410. The multiple flashing is the way the camera focuses. It needs light on the sensor to be able to focus. Cameras such as Canon and Nikon now have focus lights on some of their camera models. They act like a torch when you hold the shutter down half way allowing the camera to focus the image using light from the pinspot on the front of the camera body rather that using the pop up flash in the olympus bodies. Hope this helped. =]

You buy a Sony and you are going to jam your pc.

If you'd like to know their battery lives, they're also at the bottom of the design pages of each review at cameralabs . com - and if you'd like to discuss your options further, feel free to post in the buying a new camera section of the cameralabs forums!

Cor that battery really doesn't last long, I am currently deciding over it, the Sony A200 or the Nikon D40 and D60.
