As marshalls we were given a large red flag that we would wave when traffic approached the junction we were stationed at, as a warning to motorists to slow down. Some motorists would just ignore you and put there foot down.

the pub is the crown inn on victoria st. which kindly stood in for the race HQ as the usual HQ was unavailable.

Excellent vid. Reminds me of my days as a marshall for my old club(E.B.C.C.)What's the name of the pub you are all gathered at? I'll call in for a pint next time I'm in the area :)
