Racist comments/jokes can be hilarious, but it's only funny when the person makes it clear that they're not serious. Only people with brains can see the subtlety required to make it comedy instead of ignorant and ridiculous.Louis CK is an extremely gifted observer of culture (as are the best comedians). His new show on FX is absolutely fantastic.

I'm not sure if anyone realized this, but, there is no more racism. I am white and I have never said anything derogatory to another race. But do you realize how many times I have been called pasty, wonderbread, ghosty, cracker?!?! What the fuck has the white man done to other people now? We have a black president now!! There is only racism because stupid people like to keep bringing it back up. Oh, this is not in response to the video, its in response to other comments. I love the video.

The humor is in the intentionally narrow minded absurdity of his comments. He is verbalizing the perceptions of racists of every color. It's funny because, it's only slightly true, but not true enough to be as excited as he is. There are always exceptions to perceptions.

@vghopkins - I think we were talking about the USA. If we were talking about the world, I probably would've mentioned China, as in; Do you want to take on 1/5 of the world's population? Mexicans have migrated AND grown. The point is, racism is futile.

@englila - I'm white. I don't consider myself racist. By "Yall" do you mean "You all" as in "All of you white people are gonna pay!"? If so, I think you're using a broad brush to paint a vision of revenge against "whitey", which would make you a racist. Do you see how well racism has worked for the white man? How well do you think it's going to work for black people, especially now that the Mexican population has grown larger than you?

@1000blabbities Don't forget that white people also corrected many of those mistakes... Hitler...gone, Slavery...gone. Give credit when credit is due. Racists come in every color. Don't be a part of it by placing blame across the board on a particular race. I'm white, I've never oppressed anyone. Many blacks in Africa oppress each other even today. Ever seen the movie Rowanda?
