PART 3: I have seen you wearing nothing but a dressing-gown and still able to produce a pair of sunglasses and a bottle of tabasco sauce; I have been on a gig wearing your jacket and found in the pocket half a pork pie; but this is by really a very long way the most spectacularly Andy-like thing I have ever seen. An inspiration. You are something of a hero to us all.

PART 2: I have seen you hop from table to table in the RFH foyer, scattering coffee cups and beer glasses into the laps of grateful onlookers, playing the tenor and wearing those yellow cords; I have even been on a gig in Soho when you strolled in with three other Hepcats, with radio mikes, on an entirely different gig, and got on the stage to play for a chorus on my gig before returning to yours;
