No, the Wellington REGION has a population of 400000. That includes the cities of Porirua, Upper Hutt and Hutt City as well.

It's Lampton Quay, not whatever that stupid guy said. And yes, I live in Wellington. And he got the population wrong, the city itself only has around 150000 people. And you're not allowed video cameras in Te Papa either.

There are a few film and television facilities in the eastern suburbs of Wellington. Weta Digital is in the area too. I think they do computer animation..

Well thanks for clarifying that for me.I have family there, and for the record Wellington is the third largest city in NZ, with a region pop of nealy half a million!Christchurch is the second now, with Auckland as ever being first.Good day m8.

But what kind of jobs can you get there? Anything technology wise? Like a good job in computer animation? If there is a good well known company for computer animation I'd like to go there, possibly live there...
