well, it was because of the carelessness of the zoo keeper.. It was summer during the last days of the tiger at the hobart zoo and the tiger was kept outside in the sun for days and was not provided with much attention. Unfortunately, this lead to its death. :(

i think you're confusing your tale with the tasmanian devil. i was in tasmania and we were told that hunters killed these animals because they were killing sheep, so just out of the same reasons of why wolves were brought to extinction in europe..

well, their language is only preserved on vinyl and the last known tasmanian aboriginal died in the 1910's so i guess you could call them extinct
